Lysistrata's plan is now in full effect. After arguments with the police and chorus of men, the women are now fully engaged in her abstinence plan. Our first sighting is when Myrrhine's husband, Kinesias, comes begging for her and her love. He comes begging he needs her loving meaning he wants to use her for sex. She makes a honorable trade of the war for her," I absolutely refuse! Unless you agree to a truce to stop the war."(84). Kinesias has only one response to this, "Well, then, if that's your decision, we'll STOP the war!" (84). Even after admitting this he tries to still get with Myrrhine, forcing the slave to take their child home so the child doesn't see the explicit action about to take place. For a second, Kinesias believes that Myrrhine is going to break her oath to make love to him but she is really just messing with his mind. She is constantly running in and out of Akropolis or pointless things just to make him frustrated. The woman are now I control and have the power over the man, as long as the women follow in Myrrine's actions. The women will continue to mess the mind of men or just refuse all together until the war is stopped.
The picture represents the power the woman have. The men will do anything they can to get them back no matter what it is. They will call a truce over a war just to have their woman back in bed with them.
The picture you used is very ironic because the exact opposite was the standpoint at the time. Men were engaged in the fixing, fighting, etc. while women just sat around and made sure they were comfortable. Now once they attempt to flip the role in the story, this was a great time ti implement this photo.
